Purpose

We make a positive difference daily by protecting people from the devastation of uninsured and hit-and-run driving. With our mission at the heart of what we do, we constantly strive towards being a diverse and inclusive organisation, where our people know they belong, are supported through fair and equitable policies and processes and can help us make a positive difference to people and the planet.

We are a certified living wage provider and always commit to showing the salaries of our role. We are committed to closing the gender pay gap and transparently reporting our progress.

Purpose

It's what we do together that makes the difference

Proud

We’re proud to protect people from the devastation of uninsured and hit-and-run driving.

We’re proud to make roads safer.

We’re proud of the people who make it happen – YOU.

Supported

We’ve created an environment where you can be you.

We encourage a culture of positive well-being, promoting healthy habits and giving you tools to support your mental and physical well-being.

Because as passionate as we are about the work we do, we know there’s more to life than work.

Connected

We work together in a supportive and collaborative way, which creates real connection and a sense of belonging.

We value open communication, teamwork and a genuine interest in each other’s priorities and well-being.

We support each other through our peer-to-peer employee networks.

Your best

We provide opportunities for you to learn, grow and focus on what makes you great. This may include becoming an expert in your field or taking on new challenges.

We know nobody gets it right every time, so we support each other to learn quickly when things don’t go well.

Our networks

Our employee networks help bring our Belonging, Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (BIDE) principles to life by making MIB a more inclusive and engaging place to work.

They’re open to everyone at any time and are driven by passionate people who run events and initiatives all year round. Committee members of each network get up to four hours of company time each month to support their work.

Community engagement

Our employee community engagement program — Goodness — empowers our people to support the social and environmental causes they care about.

  • We support our people to volunteer in the community, with each employee getting one volunteering day to use how they'd like to each year.
  • We support our charity partner, UnityMK, who help people facing homelessness or crisis in Milton Keynes, near our head office. We do this through fundraising, payroll giving (Pennies from Heaven), and volunteering.
  • We match fund our people's fundraising efforts, for both our own charity partner and their own chosen causes.
  • We worked with the PSHE Association to co-create resources for teachers, and through our partnership with The Safety Centre, Hazard Alley, we’re helping young people learn more about road safety.
